NEWYORK - Pentagon successfully launched a fighter jet F - 16 unmanned . This aircraft is controlled only two U.S. Air Force pilots from the ground .
Types of Lockheed Martin fighter jets F - 16 for the first time to fly without a pilot in the last week . Boeing 's success with the Pentagon as well as a new breakthrough became a real fighter jet drone .
According to CNN ( 24/9 ) , the Pentagon has spent billions of dollars to buy a drone or " drones " ( UAV ) . UAV purchase also caused controversy among American Air Force pilot because he felt threatened his existence would be displaced by the UAV .
" We may be confused because he saw a jet fighter without anyone in it , " said Lt. Col. Ryan Inman , commander of the U.S. Air Force .
He explained that with the ability to fly without a pilot , F - 16 fighter that had ceased to operate can be used as targets to train real pilots learn to deal with enemy aircraft .
" This is a simulation of real conditions , and with the aircraft platform like this , they can shoot down this plane as a target , " he continued .
This fighter jet before it is no longer used for 15 years , stored in a hangar Arizona and then modified so that it can fly at a height of 12.2 km and reach speeds of Mach 1.47 or about 1.800km/jam .
" The aircraft is able to take off and climb to a height of 40 thousand feet above the Gulf of Mexico , broke the sound barrier and perform maneuvers such as barrel rolls over 7G , " he continued .
Unmanned fighter jet is also able to perform a number of maneuvers including movement " split S " , a movement in which the aircraft inverted position before making a semi-circle so that could change in the opposite direction . The maneuver is commonly used in the battle to avoid the opponent's shot missiles .
" These jets flew with great , everything works very well , making a beautiful landing , perhaps one of the best landings I've ever seen , " said Paul Cejas , chief engineer of the project .
Boeing itself has been modified six F16 jet , which is now named the QF - 16 , and the U.S. military is now planning to use it in a test shoot straight . However , a spokesman for the campaign Stop Killer Robot movement warned on the possible use of these jets in the fleet of war .
" I am very worried this jest used to attack people in the field , " said Professor Noel Sharkey .
" I am particularly concerned about the high speeds that can they run so they could not clearly identify their target , " he added
