MOSCOW
- Russia will demonstrate strong evidence to the UN Security Council
that a chemical weapons attack performed rebels near Damascus .
This
was confirmed by the Ministry of the Russian response to the
investigation team's report on Syria UN declared positively that the use
of chemical weapons in the event .
"
We have a lot of reports about the Syrian government's use of chemical
weapons , which showed the rebels did to trigger the coordinated
intervention against Syria , " said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey
Lavrov to rt ( 19/9 ) .
He said there are a lot of data in expert reports related to the use of chemical weapons in Aleppo in March 2013 . Also on the incident that occurred in August in Ghouta , near Damascus where rebels allegedly did .
"
All of this will be considered in the Security Council , together with
the reports presented by UN experts who confirmed that chemical weapons
were used , " he added .
He stressed Syria's status in the alleged use of chemical weapons has not been decided . "
I have not seen it , but I am sure that the experts will work with it
and of course we will give you the security council , " he said .
He explained that both Russia and the Soviet Union had supplied chemical weapons to any other foreign country . "
No one denies the fact that the Soviet Union once did . However , we
never send armed sarin warheads to Syria or any other country , " said
Sergey Ivanov , a spokesman for the Russian government .
The
statement came after a UN expert report on Syria claimed that a rocket
that was found at the site of chemical attacks on August 21 near
Damascus have Cyrillic letters on it . Moreover, earlier , U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel says there are a lot of chemical weapons in Russia supplied Syria . The U.S. and its allies accuse Assad forces using sarin gas against civilians .
Although
the Syrian government denied the allegations and no evidence of guilt
presented Washington , Obama announced there would be " limited military
action " because of the use of chemical weapons can not be tolerated . But
the U.S. then refrained after emerging Russian proposal that Syria will
hand over its chemical weapons for destruction to international
