China Criticizes NASA

BEIJING - The Chinese government criticized the decision of the U.S. Space Agency , NASA , which prohibit Chinese academics attended the conference to discuss the existence of the solar system in California , next month .

" Academic activities should not be politicized , " said a spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry , Hua Chunying , as reported by the BBC ( 9/10 ) .

American astronomers also criticized the move NASA , even some of them calling for a boycott of the conference , either individually or in groups .

NASA is the co- decision against Congressman Frank Wolf , who draw up the rules that NASA used as the basis for banning the presence of experts from China . " We think this meeting should not be politicized , " he said .
