Libyan PM Gunmen kidnapped

Libya gov't is being stirred . How not , the Prime Minister ( PM ) Ali Zeidan was kidnapped from a hotel in Tripoli , Libya by armed groups on Thursday ( 10/10 ) . Now he was taken to a hidden location if the perpetrators .

"The head of the transitional government , Ali Zeidan , was taken to an unknown place by a group of men believed to be insurgents , " said Libyan government spokesman , Jen Psaki , as reported by NBC NEWS page on Thursday ( 10/10 ) .

" We are still studying this report and we stay in touch with senior U.S. and Libyan officials on the ground , " he added further .

There is no information about the details of the kidnapping incident . The incident occurred just a few days after asking for help Zeidan major Western countries to stop the spread of militancy in the country .

In an interview with the BBC recently , Zeidan said that Libya is being used as a base for exporting arms to the entire region . Therefore, Zeidan said , there should be international cooperation to stop it .
