( ANTARA News ) - The United States will discuss global espionage
program with France , said Foreign Affairs Minister John Kerry on Monday
, after the government 's wrath Paris and Washington have accused spy
millions of telephone communication .
" We will conduct ongoing bilateral consultations , including with our French partners who answered this question , " Kerry said , calling the French as one of the oldest American allies .
Speaking in Paris after meeting with Arab League officials , Kerry declined to comment on specific allegations involving France .
But he noted that Washington is reviewing the collection of intelligence operations related to the protests of the government's allies on charges of spying .
" Protecting the safety of our citizens in the world today is very complicated , very challenging task ... because there are a lot of people outside who seek to harm others , " said Kerry .
" Many countries are involved in trying to protect their citizens in the world , " he said .
" Our goal always is to try to find the right balance between protecting the privacy and security of our citizens , " said Kerry was quoted as saying by AFP
