Police: Indonesian Police Salaries Low in Asean

Head of Public Relations Division Police Inspector General Ronny Sompie said that salaries of police in Indonesia was the least when compared with the state police in Southeast Asia. In fact, when compared with Ronny explains police salary in Japan, its value could be well above the state finance officer.

When compared with Indonesian law enforcement agencies such as the Corruption Eradication Commission, Salaries police personnel assigned at the KPK could go up to three-fold. "Why should it be so different, what if working at the Commission could take his salary, but it works pretty much the same," Ronny said when contacted on Saturday, September 14, 2013.
