WASHINGTON
- Senators from Republican stronghold in the U.S. foreign policy of
President Barack Obama warned that the vote by the Congress against the
proposed deployment of military forces in Syria . They believe it would be a military intervention and potentially catastrophic risk of a regional war .

If Congress has rejected a resolution like this after the President of
the United States have committed to act , the consequences would be
catastrophic , " said Senator John McCain after a meeting with the
president at the White House as reported dailystar , Tuesday ( 3/9 ) .
McCain
said he and Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, who also participated in
the meeting with Obama mentioned the need to change the resolution to
make it more than just a response to the use of chemical weapons by the
Assad government .
"

Both
argued Obama should topple Assad from power and trying to change the
